If you are looking to sell your boat, we would love to help. By filling out this form and listing with 123 Hulls Yacht Sales you will be taking the first step towards selling your boat.

Preparing and presenting your boat in the best possible light goes a long way in getting a good price and a fast sale.

Good photographs, an honest description and a detailed specification sheet are the first important steps. There is nothing more off putting to a buyer than not meeting their expectations, especially if they have traveled long distances to view your boat.

123 Hulls Yacht Sales will prepare detailed descriptions and take pictures (if boat is available to us) to give potential buyers an honest and fair idea of the layout and the condition of your boat.

Buyer’s first impressions of a boat are vital, so preparation and cleanliness are very important. Imagine the impression a buyer will have if he gets aboard and the bunks are all pulled apart, old engine parts are lying on the salon and nav tables and there are tools and dirt all over the place….

it is often difficult to remove all personal items and spare gear but the less cluttered the boat is, the better. By stowing away equipment and items that have dedicated storage in their proper place helps to show the boat's ample storage. In general, however, the less unnecessary equipment and stores on board, the better. Apart from everything else, removing as much unnecessary gear as possible also makes the boat look bigger!

If you have enough advance warning that a potential buyer is coming to view the boat it is always a good idea to give the decks and cockpit a wash down. Along with opening up the hatches and airing the boat out, particularly the heads and galley, more buyers are put off by smells in a boat than most other factors.

Whenever possible 123 Hulls Yacht Sales staff try to be at the boat before the potential buyer to open the hatches to air the boat, but unfortunately this is not always possible.

Besides the last minute preparations before a viewing, some good routine maintenance goes a long way in showing the boat at its full potential. Waxing and polishing the hull, wiping down faded plastic parts, such as instrument housings with a silicone polish, removing any rust streaks/marks and polishing stainless steel. Washing sails and warps, gently scrubbing any external teak. All go a long way in helping both look after the boat and to make a good first impression to any potential buyer.

123 Hulls Yacht Sales do their best to make sure they have a very good idea of the true condition and the general appearance of the boat. Mostly the difference between a dry, tidy and clean boat to a damp, cluttered and dirty boat will make all the difference in the final price and speed of the sale.
