The Bruce Farr designed Oceanis 461 is a solid blue water cruiser with impressive speed and a rig that is innovative and efficient. Strength and reliability have been built into every aspect. An incredibly spacious, bright and well-ventilated interior is complemented by beautiful traditional exterior lines.
Stepping onboard Esprit de Mer and into the spacious cockpit with bimini top, full enclosure, wraparound seating and centerline helm pedestal you will find ample seating for 8. A twin drop leaf table with integral storage and drink holders provides for enjoyable outdoor dining and entertaining.
 
GalleyDescending the companionway into the interior the galley located aft to starboard is designed and fitted with everything required to enable the gourmet chef to prepare full meals for all the guests. A 3 burner Force 10 stove, large fridge and freezer together with numerous storage lockers for supplies provide cruisers plenty of culinary options during their voyage.
 
Aft to Port is the guest stateroom and adjoining head. A king size split berth, personal reading lights, hanging and clothes storage lockers ensure comfort & privacy for the guests.
 
Forward of the guest head is the well-equipped and comfortable nav station. The main salon opposite the nav station features a U-shaped settee, with centerline bench seat and Hi/Low dining table. The U-shaped settee quickly converts to an additional comfortable double berth should extra accommodations be required. . Voluminous storage is located behind and under the settees or in multiple overhead lockers.
 
The large forward master stateroom features island queen berth with custom mattress, a large hanging locker, bench seat and extending shelving spanning both sides of the hull. This stateroom adjoins the en-suite head with vanity and shower.
 
Nav StationThe centrally located machinery space housing the engine is fully sound insulated and offers easy access for routine maintenance by way of the hinged companionway stairs.
 
On deck there are custom davits with dinghy and outboard. The recently inspected stainless steel rigging is in excellent condition and the wide decks offer ease of transition from the cockpit to the bow.
 
Esprit de Mer has always been a privately owned vessel and has never been chartered. She has been meticulously cared for by her owners with no expense spared regarding maintenance and upgrades. Esprit de Mer's above average exterior has been continuously cared for having had a minimum of three waxings a year since current owners have had Deckher. The standing rigging has just received an inspection in December 2011 and was found to be in excellent condition. The running rigging has also been carefully maintained and continuously upgraded and is in excellent working order. With all lines leading aft to the cockpit, Esprit de Mer is easy to handle when shorthanded or in rough conditions.
Behind the cockpit are heavy duty custom stainless steel davits and an engine lifting crane with a pulley system and swing arm that is operated by means of the electric cockpit winch. Anchoring with ease is handled by the Simpson Lawrence electric windlass with optional hand held remote. Mounted on the double roller anchor pulpit is a 45lb CQR anchor attached to 200' of brand new G4 chain. In addition there is are spare anchors in the form of a 33lb Bruce with 20‘ G4 chain and 250' of primary rode and, a Fortress 37lb storm anchor with 100' chain and 250' of nylon rode offering a complete inventory for all possible anchoring eventualities.
